You can also save some time by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment.

What To Expect
Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It also will help relieve any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling. Educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing the content on this Web site. Also, take some time to review our staff page and familiarize yourself with the doctor.  Expect to spend 10-15 minutes filling out new patient paperwork on your first visit.  Please bring your drivers license and if you have insurance, please bring a copy of your insurance card.

Initial Visit
A typical first visit to our office will include an oral examination, x-rays, and a dental cleaning.  The initial oral exam includes an oral cancer screening, visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, and diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take a comprehensive set of x-rays for proper diagnosis of decay and pathology. In most cases, a cleaning will then be completed including oral hygiene instruction, flossing, and polishing.  Plan to be at this visit for about an hour.  This is your time to discuss your dental concerns and goals with Dr. Rice. Together we will come up with the treatment plan that is right for you.
